The sheriff's office offers and participates in a variety of programs for the community such as The Class Action Program, Too Good for Drugs, Project LifeSaver and Project ChildSafe.

Project ChildSafe is a nationwide program whose purpose is to promote safe firearms handling and storage practices among all firearms owners through the distribution of key safety education messages and free gun locking devices. Free gun locks are available at the sheriff's office.
